Nature is not out there, We are part of it.
Protecting Nature is not a luxury.
Environmentalism is a problem because it interferes with economic growth. Rather Environmentalism is not a problem because the very foundation of every economic activity is the river, the land and the biodiversity.
On different approximations 1bil people are going hungry, in one decade 200000 farmers have commented suicide, child poverty, poisoning our soil.
A seemingly different scale of problem, be it malnutrition, climate change, land and ownership is all interconnected. Through a very perverse way of thinking that we have inherited through a highly patriarchal form of thought.
Capitalist patriarchy gave us first the assumption that
Nature is dead. Declare nature is dead,
To establish man's empire over nature. All species can be exterminated, people can be dispossessed. Bacon called it the birth of masculine time. They shaped a way of thinking that would be a masculine mould. By robbing men of half their thinking and women of thinking. It was a mechanistic view of the world that couldn't see cycles.
Linear thinking becomes blind to diversity. The monoculture of the mind. THE MONOCULTURE OF THE MIND. Transforming the country from the land of abundance, to homogony.
Other Notes:
Holistic thought. Thinking about Circles and interconnections.
Circles and cycle. In terms of cleaning the ganga, the cycle has been broken. The cycle of our nutrition that should go back to the land is today going as pollution to the rivers. Corrected this through town planning, sanitation no problem of soil fertility, and no river pollution.
We cannot fake the effects of the lack of nutrition to the body.
Sparsity- we have brilliant ways of preventing multiplication of seed genetic engineering, patenting, terminator seeds. This makes it illegal for farmers to save they seeds.
Genocidal and Ecocide
